Background
My name is Laurie Banks. I have a master's degree in education and taught continuation high school for over 30 years. I have been retired for the last 14 years. I met my partner, Ken Davis, 25 years ago and we have been together ever since. After 2 failed marriages for both of us, we feel no need to try that again. Ken is an aquatic biologist and an avid fly fisher. He introduced me to the wonderful sport and i have been addicted ever since.
Skills
I have been fly fishing for about 18 years. and teaching students photography for 30 years, from a makeshift darkroom in a custodians closet to a bank of computers using Photoshop. I was the 1st woman to complete the Western Native Trout Challenge and am a past- president of California Fly Fishers Unlimited (CFFU) a 400-member fly fishing club in Sacramento, CA

Ken is now retired and there is nothing to hold us back for hitting the road. Visiting fishing spots, ghost towns, and petroglyphs are high on our list for 2024.
